Coming in with some big news from Africa! I recently attended a blockchain technology and cryptocurrency event by Technext 2.0, and I must admit the event was a blast! *Much Wow for our DC friends* The event drew in a decently large crowd. I would estimate at least 3000 people showed up during the event. I’ve attended events like this before and it’s quite noticeable how much the crypto space is growing here!
The guest pool included many major players in the business space from every part of Nigeria and even some from neighboring African communities. We were graced with the appearance of Fejiro Hanu, the Ceo of Patricia and many other prominent personalities.
Conversations during the event were about Seed / Venture Capital funding, Security in DeFi, and we learned about various crypto-companies and their roles in the crypto space. It was nice being able to join the stage to speak about KuPay.
One of my favorite parts of the event was being able to promote KuPay in person. This was a grand opportunity to reach out to different people in the space. We had long conversations and deep discussions on how the KuPay payments system could benefit the Nigerian economy. Evidently, the crypto community is still growing in Nigeria and West Africa as a whole.
My perception of the event is that Africa is ready to accept crypto as a form of payment. With the right marketing in combination with future collaborations, you can easily see how KuPay is setting up to be a strong contender in this space. I personally look forward to attending more events like this in the future, and this is just the start of more great things to come!
